About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F/A-18 Landing Gear Technical Support Specialist in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This individual will compile, analyze and format data to produce engineering lifecycle products, services and processes. The specialist will verify regulatory conformance and contractual compliance, enforce configuration control, and maintain design and maintenance documentation to company, contractual and Navy standards.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience with 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
1+ years of experience in aviation maintenance administration, configuration management, or quality/configuration assurance support for Navy or Marine Corps aviation units
1+ years of experience using and updating OOMA NALCOMIS Configuration Management Database to update logsets and track life limits
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Contract and aerospace industry standards experience (AS9100, etc.)
NAVY OOMA NALCOMIS Database Administration/System Administrator Course (NEC 6303) or equivalent certification
Experience with Naval Air Technical Evaluation Center (NATEC) and Deckplate database

Responsibilities

Compile, analyze and format technical and maintenance data to produce and maintain engineering lifecycle products, spreadsheets, web pages (e.g., SENTINAL), and other documentation
Verify regulatory conformance and contractual compliance of products using standard guidelines; identify and document nonconformances and follow through to resolution
Maintain configuration control and design documentation per company, contractual and Navy standards (CNAFINST 4790.2 Series / NAMP)
Read, interpret and apply Navy Technical Directives (TD), Supplemental Technical Certificates (STC), Airworthiness Directives (AD), and engineering guidance to ensure compliant repairs and configuration actions
Create, update and maintain Assembly Service Records (ASR), Equipment History Records (EHR), and Scheduled Component Repair (SRC) cards IAW CNAFINST 4790.2 Series
Administer and update the OOMA NALCOMIS Configuration Management Database to manage logsets, track life limits and record component histories
Use and maintain Navy databases (e.g., NATEC, Deckplate) to support configuration and maintenance actions
Process and track aircraft components for overhaul per OEM instructions and contractual requirements; submit requests to government engineering for information required to maintain life‑limited components
Investigate, interpret and resolve data, process and product problems; implement corrective actions and document results
Guide and monitor schedules, metrics, reports and forecasts to manage quality and performance to customer requirements
Support development and delivery of job‑specific technical training and guidance to sustainers and end users
Interface with end users and stakeholders to ensure consistent quality of data across Boeing data analytics and maintenance systems
Maintain, secure and handle information in accordance with security and classification requirements for personnel holding a Secret clearance
Perform other duties as assigned; work under general to minimal direction
