About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-15 Flight Line Avionics Technician to assist in maintenance efforts at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This is a long-term assignment to Qatar for a minimum of 2 years, with relocation and assignment benefits provided. The role requires the ability to meet international assignment health requirements for both the employee and any accompanying family members.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with fighter aircraft maintenance and/or management.
  • Must be able to obtain a local driver's license.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.
  • Must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.
  • Offer is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned.
  • These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on military fighter platforms (F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22).
  • Experience with aircraft systems including avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, fuel and/or integrated vehicle management systems is preferred.
  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles, and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly, or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversees on-the-job training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of squadron operations.
  • Ability to carry out CUT (Cross Utilization Training) as required.
  • Works under general supervision.
