About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. This role involves educating patients on corrective lens options, managing inventory, fitting and adjusting eyewear, and placing optical orders. The Eyewear Consultant will work closely with patients to meet their medical needs and lifestyle preferences while also achieving sales goals.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation
• 1+ years of experience
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Coachable-open to feedback and continual improvement
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Flexible and adaptable
• Professional phone and office etiquette required

Nice To Haves

• Optical experience is preferred but not necessary-we will train the right person

Responsibilities

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences with a basic understanding of lens fundamentals.
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Measure and fit eyeglasses properly.
• Perform basic adjustments and repairs of eyewear.
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits
