Requirements

  • 2 years Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent past work experience
  • 2 years of design, tool and die making experience for a plastic profile extrusion company
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience
  • Basic PC skills (MS Windows)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and self-direct activities
  • Strong customer focus
  • Continued technical training required each year
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design profile extrusions dies per profile specifications delivered by the engineering department.
  • Build dies, fixtures or related tools and complete tooling repairs and revisions in accordance with the blueprint dimensions.
  • Setup and operate Tool Room equipment needed (Mills, Grinders, Lathes) to build, repair, revise and service molds, dies, calibrators, fixtures and related tools in a correct and timely manner.
  • Provide multi-skilled maintenance/electrical support focused on customer service, quality, cost and productivity in a TPM and CI environment. Focused on developing maintenance skills and abilities.
  • Follows and promotes safety and safely perform all job tasks.
  • Demonstrate respectful workplace behavior.
  • Understand, troubleshoot and problem solve issues of basic complexity in advanced Extrusion Tooling and Process.
  • Test and perform preventative maintenance on Extrusion Tooling.
  • Understand basic operation and use of Machinist measurement equipment and tooling.
  • Understand types of water and vacuum fittings.
  • Understand trouble shooting process for Extrusion Process.
