The Tool & Die Technician cleans, prepares, and stages extrusion tooling; assists with line setups and tooling changeovers; and supports production and packing operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English and follow established work processes.
  • Ability to safely move materials and operate hand and power tools as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Related machine operation experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing and tape measure experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles dies, calibrators, and tank plates.
  • Stages tooling and assists with extrusion line setups and tooling changeovers, including the safe handling of tooling and related components.
  • Uses and maintains the ultrasonic tooling machine.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by completing daily housekeeping.
  • Wears/uses all required PPE; abides by all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains required paperwork.
  • Performs online quality inspections.
  • Performs packer duties as needed to support production, including visually inspecting and packing finished product, verifying counts and packing patterns, applying labels, and operating packaging equipment.
