About The Position

The Extrusion Technician is responsible for supporting various production and manufacturing operations as assigned. This role exposes technicians to the Extrusion process quickly to develop the skills needed to assemble, maintain, and disassemble lines while having an established technical aptitude. During your first year, you will develop and expand your technical skill level, work on a 4-person team to assist and perform technical tasks to keep manufacturing lines running, and follow all safety and company policies/guidelines (including tobacco-free facilities).

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Honest and hardworking.
Mechanical aptitude and safety awareness
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights every 3 months).
Self-motivated with ability and desire to learn new skills.
Career-minded individual who can grow in a stable work environment.

Responsibilities

Operating hand tools and power tools
Operating extrusion/injection molding equipment, ovens, saws, grinders, etc.
Product support: cutting, trimming, inspecting, cleaning, repairs & assembly
Equipment maintenance – inspection, disassembly, cleaning, repairs, & assembly
Facility support – cleaning, repairs, painting, plumbing & construction trade support as needed
Painting and coating
Operating forklift, tractor, loading and pulling trailer
Document production data and report any issues to supervisors.
