Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience working with production equipment, changeovers, and standard work environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and support complex equipment
  • Working knowledge of LOTO, safety procedures, and 5S in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to follow and improve Standard Work and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across shifts and departments
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • extrusion experience strongly preferred
  • Vinyl (PVC) and plastics extrusion experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment, actively enforcing safety policies, PPE requirements, and 5S standards; identify and escalate abnormal conditions or risks
  • Execute and lead extrusion line changeovers in accordance with production schedules, priorities, standard work, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Perform die and calibrator cleaning, inspection, and preparation, ensuring readiness for startups and consistent product quality
  • Support extrusion line startups, monitoring equipment performance and adjusting to achieve stable, efficient operation
  • Assist operators with production troubleshooting, process support, and equipment-related issues
  • Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and WIT (Winning Impact Team) meetings, providing clear updates on equipment status, changeovers, and production priorities
  • Maintain housekeeping and ensure work areas are prepared for the incoming shift
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and improved changeover efficiency
  • Support training and mentoring of less-experienced technicians or operators as needed
