About The Position

The Extrusion Technician B is responsible for the change-over and operation of extrusion lines within their assigned area. This role requires maintaining good housekeeping, safety, and production quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. The position also involves assisting with training, troubleshooting equipment, and performing tasks as requested by supervisors, including working overtime when needed.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude
Must be able to do Process Maintenance
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance
Demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma/GED is preferred
2 year + Plastic blown film experience as an operator or 2/4 year degree related in the field that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position is preferred

Responsibilities

Adhere to all plant safety rules and company policy
Responsible for housekeeping of assigned area
Responsible for quality in assigned area including proper QC procedures
Responsible for production in assigned area
Responsible for production paperwork in assigned area
Able to fill in as packer for breaks and when short handed
Perform product change in assigned area
Perform TPM in assigned area
Assist with training employees
Assist with troubleshooting equipment in assigned area
Work with maintenance on repair of equipment
Able to fill in during absence of his/her: A Technician
Work overtime as needed
Able to do master roll change unassisted
Able to do additional work as requested by supervisor
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
