About The Position
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations and managing departmental team members during their assigned shift. This role places a strong emphasis on quality control, productivity, and ensuring Packers and Operators remain on task. The Shift Supervisor serves as a hands-on leader, actively supporting production while guiding and developing the hourly team.
Requirements
- Seasoned level of experience in a production environment managing a small team of 15-20 direct reports
- In-depth knowledge of supervising production operations
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite; data entry (SAP)
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Physical stamina and agility to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for 8 hr shifts
- Ability to use hand tools for measurements as instructed and trained
- Ability to be on time and prompt for work hours and have a reliable means of transportation
- Must be able to work in a drug and alcohol-free workplace
- Ability to use hand tools and operate a forklift
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
