About The Position

This role is responsible for operating a saw to cut architectural aluminum to precise measurements. The operator will program the saw, set up equipment, verify settings, and maintain safe operations. This position also involves troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting actions to ensure continuity between shifts. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and contributing to organizational goals by adding value to assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Previous saw operator and metal extrusion experience.
• Can use and read a tape measure and can take accurate measurements.
• Can program the saw entering exact measurements, correct finish, and type of material.
• One year of previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility is preferred.
• Prior extrusion or saw operating experience.
• Must be able to lift 75lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to lift up to 150lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to communicate as a member of a team.
• Must be able to follow instruction.

• Strong mathematical background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut architectural aluminum to precise measurements taken from work orders.
• Programs saw by entering exact measurements, correct finish, and type of material.
• Sets-up saw by installing and adjusting tools & attachments.
• Verifies settings by measuring material before and after cutting.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
