About The Position

This position is responsible for reviewing rolls returned from the bagging area, conducting an inventory and quality review, and determining whether the rolls meet quality standards for reprocessing in the bagging area or should be designated as scrap. This role requires maintaining detailed written records of inspections and decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Proficient in documenting and reporting inspection results.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with various areas of the plant.
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality goals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between multiple facilities throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with plastic materials is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory of rolls, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Identify and review non-compliant rolls that do not meet quality standards.
• Record inspection results for non-conforming rolls, detailing their status.
• Update the Radius system with information on rolls sent back to the bagging area.
• Rework non-conforming rolls for a second inspection if necessary.
• Use measurement tools (tape measure, scale, thickness gauge) to verify that rolls meet the quality standards.
