About The Position

Americhem is actively hiring Extrusion Operators to join their team at their Liberty, NC plant. Americhem is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Production operators specialize in setting up, operating, and tending extruding machines to process a variety of products that customers use to manufacture a vast array of finished products.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot.
Tow motor/forklift experience.
Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
Solid math and analytic skills.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing/production strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Holds safety in highest regard by making good safety decisions, following safety procedures, watching out for the safety of self and others, contributing to safety improvements and participating in safety programs.
Produce compound samples according to specifications by using production equipment, devices and instruments (extruders, scales, feeders, classifiers, pelletizers, dies, visual display units, dials, and calibrators).
Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment operational by performing preventative maintenance tasks on machine and equipment.
The Operator adds color mix to the feeder by using a tow motor/forklift to lift the color pot up to the platform, and setting it in the proper slot.
