About The Position

This position is responsible for facilitating the continuous feeding of materials to the extruders while supporting Operator A to ensure the production of quality rolls. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality standards, and the smooth operation of the manufacturing process in a risk-free environment. This position reports to the Extrusion Leader, Extrusion Supervisor, and Department Coordinator. The role involves the application of the Company’s Core Values in the work environment, ensuring the continuous and efficient feeding of materials to the extruders without interruptions. The operator will assist Operator A in meeting production goals and ensuring that all rolls are produced according to specified quality standards. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the work area free from floor clutter is essential. Familiarity with the types of resins used in production and understanding the associated quality standards is required. The operator must be aware of the various products manufactured in the area and ensure that they meet quality standards. Understanding the basic operation of machinery such as the extruder, winder, nip roll, treaters, and cage is also part of the role.

Requirements

• At least 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Capability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with various departments across the plant.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times throughout the day.
• Must be able to work in hot areas.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the plastics industry.
• Experience working with plastics is desirable but not required.
