About The Position

This role involves maintaining and monitoring the hopper area to ensure extruders are loading correct materials as specified in work orders. The operator will reclaim and grind materials from production start-ups and off-spec production for reuse, collaborating with other operators to determine appropriate regrind percentages and availability. Successful completion of OSHA-approved forklift certification and adherence to all safety guidelines for forklift operation are required. The role also includes using software tools such as MII, SAP, and Access to accurately document and track material usage and production activities, performing routine cleaning and maintenance of grinders, correctly identifying materials to be ground, accurately labeling and storing ground materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret fractions; proficient in using a tape measure.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, squatting, lifting, walking, and bending.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience operating a forklift is beneficial, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities
