The Extrusion Operator Helper's objective is to monitor and maintain material flow to the hoppers that feed the extruders unassisted. The role requires the ability to communicate quality issues and complete required documentation. The position involves monitoring and troubleshooting blending systems, managing hopper screens, repairing and replacing vacuum hoses, and cleaning dust collectors. The helper will also be responsible for correcting formulas and rates for different product types, using a fire extinguisher, climbing heights to report silo readings, and maintaining housekeeping standards on mezzanines and surge bin floor areas. Adherence to GMP standards is mandatory. The role also emphasizes individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and policy procedures, including reporting unsafe practices, interceding with fellow employees regarding rule violations, communicating persistent violations to management, and properly wearing and reporting defective personal protective equipment (PPE). All near misses, accidents, injuries, or illnesses, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders, must be reported.
