About The Position

Airtech, a family-owned, community-focused global leader founded in 1973, specializes in materials for high-performance composite parts. Their products are utilized across aerospace, automotive, marine, green energy, and recreational sports industries to create lighter, stronger, and greener components. The Extrusion Machine Operator performs semiskilled work, operating various extrusion equipment. This role involves setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, and labeling and packing finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.
  • Perform the duty of setting up machine base on production orders.
  • Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.
  • Label and pack finished products as it is produced on the machine per work order instructions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Must comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.
  • Must be able to wear respirator to perform machine setup.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other co-workers.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.
