Extrusion Machine Operator
About The Position
Coopers Houston is recruiting an experienced or entry-level Extrusion Machine Operator for a growing industrial manufacturing operation in Houston, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience as an Extrusion Operator, Machine Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Operator, Industrial Machine Operator, or Metal Manufacturing Operator. The Extrusion Machine Operator will operate extrusion machinery used to manufacture copper and alloy products according to technical specifications, production schedules, quality requirements, and established operating procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months–1 year of experience operating industrial machinery preferred.
- Manufacturing or production experience is an advantage.
- Experience with extrusion equipment or metal manufacturing is highly valued.
- Basic understanding of extrusion processes.
- Industrial machinery operation.
- Basic production reporting.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Overhead crane operation experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Operate extrusion machinery according to production instructions and established procedures.
- Inspect extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment before beginning operations.
- Perform machine setup and calibration according to product specifications.
- Monitor critical extrusion process parameters during production.
- Identify and report process deviations, equipment problems, or abnormal operating conditions.
- Record production information accurately in SAP or other production systems.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment readiness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
- Follow 5S workplace organization practices.
- Follow all company safety, quality, environmental, and production procedures.
- Work effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supervisory teams.
Benefits
- $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience.
