About The Position

The Extrusion Line Operator works under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Responsible for setting up and maintaining one to four production lines. Provides assistance and direction to machine operators. Monitors and records correlation of strapping produced to product specifications. Troubleshoots production problems and communicates problems to Foreman. Performs minor maintenance on entire machine and related equipment. Performs housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to use product specifications to set up equipment to manufacture product.
  • Ability to learn laser filters to change screens as needed.
  • Ability to monitor temperatures in extruders and ovens and adjust as necessary.
  • Ability to observe and maintain conditions of equipment, communicate problems, and write work orders.
  • Ability to ensure proper raw materials are used according to product specifications.
  • Ability to ensure all safety guards are in place and working properly.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production problems and take corrective action.
  • Ability to clean and maintain equipment.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs such as clearing and draining water lines, checking and changing filters, clearing or changing winder arms, and assisting with other maintenance.
  • Ability to provide guidance and aid to machine operators.
  • Ability to perform other tasks as assigned.
