About The Position

Pries Enterprises is looking for an Extrusion Furnace Operator to join their team. No previous experience is required as the company provides on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement. This position plays a critical role in the extrusion process by preparing dies for production, supporting press operations, and ensuring tooling is properly maintained and ready for use. This role offers hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion facility.

Responsibilities

Set up extrusion dies according to the production schedule.
Operate an overhead crane to transport and organize dies safely.
Verify tooling stacks and ensure proper die sizes are available for production.
Prepare and stage dies in the designated ready area.
Assist the Press Operator with die changes, setups, and production adjustments.
Collect random production samples as requested to verify product conformity.
Operate the extrusion press during Press Operator breaks.
Break down dies after production runs are completed.
Transfer dies to the caustic cleaning area for cleaning and repair preparation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or incidents to a Supervisor and/or the Safety Department.
Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
