About The Position

Ultrapak Manufacturing, LLC has an opening for an Extrusion Engineer in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for production shifts, supervising and managing approximately 50 to 60 employees. The engineer will proactively coordinate with Shift Leads and Human Resources, and is responsible for production orders, ensuring products exceed customer expectations. Adherence to and enforcement of food and safety policies, as well as ensuring products meet quality control standards, are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the position offered or a related role.
• 2 years of experience with the manufacturing process of flexible packing products.
• 2 years of experience with the extrusion process of Blown Film for high molecular weight high density polyethylene films.
• 2 years of experience with the conversion process of Blown Film for high molecular weight high density polyethylene films.
• 2 years of experience with using flexographic printing of 2-8 colors, cutting, and sealing of bags at very high rates and packaging a final product following detailed customer specifications.
• 2 years of experience with technical skills and experience to minimize machinery downtime.
