About The Position

CMI (Crane Materials International), a manufacturer in Ball Ground, Georgia, is hiring a full-time Extrusion Assistant Operator for the 3rd shift, which runs from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role supports production by inspecting and packaging materials, operating the production line, completing quality checks and production records, and helping with die changeovers and in-line cleaning. The position is performed in person in a high-noise manufacturing environment with personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, kneel, and regularly move up to 50 pounds, occasionally over 100 pounds.
Ability to work in a high-noise manufacturing environment while using PPE.
Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of material handling or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect and package production materials to meet quality standards.
Conduct visual and measured inspections using calipers and related tools.
Complete quality-control checks, product labeling, and production paperwork accurately.
Meet die change-over and on-line die-cleaning standards.
Operate the production line using current Centerline information to support product quality and production rates.
Record process parameters frequently throughout the shift.
Maintain clean and organized work areas according to housekeeping standards.
Assist with die changeovers and in-line cleaning.
Stock and manage packaging supplies.
Safely store finished products.
Promptly communicate issues and safety concerns.
Work with Leads, Operators, Maintenance Techs, and other departments.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
