About The Position

Setup and operate extruder to apply rubberized membrane to pulleys per specification and to fulfill customer orders. The employee owner will know and observe all plant safety rules applicable to their work. They will set up and operate the extruder, apply rubberized membrane to pulleys per specifications, and safely, properly, and efficiently grind vulcanized rubber off reworked pulleys. Responsibilities also include changing out rubber from the extruder, wrapping and placing pulleys on autoclave racks according to specifications, loading and unloading the autoclave, and the ability to read and interpret order schedules. The role involves performing extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area, continually participating in additional training related to the position, and performing required preventative maintenance. All activities must be performed in a manner that protects and promotes the health, safety, and welfare of fellow workers, the community, and the environment. Employees must report all unsafe practices and conditions to their supervisor and strive to achieve the highest possible product quality from receipt of an order.

Requirements

  • Ability to be trained and maintain knowledge of the various types of rubber membrane and be able to distinguish between them.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Know how to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to complete orders on short notice to meet customer expectations.
  • Regular, consistent attendance.
  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or One to three months related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • With training, demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
