About The Position

The Extraction Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the day-to-day extraction activities, including but not limited to, packing material socks, operating extraction equipment, filtering cannabis oil, and disposing of waste at the direction of the Extraction Manager. The Extraction Technician will be responsible for maintaining adequate operational procedures and contributing to a support role to ensure seamless lab operation and increased efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • No allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; this position requires daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.

Responsibilities

  • Daily product preparation including preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
  • Consistently monitor active equipment, perform minor repairs, and report equipment irregularities to Extraction Manager.
  • Operates machinery in accordance with all operational and safety guidelines.
  • Consistently maintain extraction equipment and laboratory spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Cleans and maintains laboratory and extraction equipment.
  • Take instructions and assist on all tasks assigned by the Extraction Manager.
  • Assists with ethanol, hydrocarbon and solventless extraction.
  • General manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Assists in the disposal of waste according to established guidelines.
  • Work cohesively with various departments and provides operational support when deemed necessary and approved by management.
  • Complete duties on time and willingness to accept additional job duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers about daily production output.
  • Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.
  • All other duties as necessary.
