About The Position

Alvéole is looking for an Extraction and Packaging Operator to join their honey production team in Denver for the 2026 beekeeping season. This role is crucial for processing and packaging local urban honey. The operator will be responsible for handling honey extraction, packaging products for shipping, maintaining a clean work environment, tracking inventory, and ensuring quality control. This is a physically demanding, temporary, full-time contract position. Alvéole is a certified B Corporation focused on connecting people with nature in cities through rooftop beehives and biodiversity programs. They partner with real estate companies to enhance sustainability and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with hands-on work in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).
  • Experience operating mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures.
  • Experience in product assembly, food processing, or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate mechanical and automated equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with the reality of warehouse beekeeping hazards (stings, heavy lifting, hot indoor temperatures).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with agriculture or farming, particularly in beekeeping or honey extraction processes.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the uncapping and extraction of honey frames according to Alvéole’s procedures.
  • Operate honey extraction, bottling, and labeling equipment.
  • Maintain a standardized work environment by regularly cleaning and organizing extraction and production areas.
  • Box, palletize, and wrap finished honey products for shipping.
  • Track and monitor inventory levels through data entry into Alvéole’s internal data tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Meet season's deadlines, including the final product shipment deadline.
  • Monitor the consistency and quality of honey products.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Complete other warehouse/production duties as needed.
