About The Position
The UA Little Rock is seeking an Extra Help Assistant to work with the Pico Balloon project. This role involves participating in numerous launch demonstrations at UA Little Rock and developing and delivering an online Science Teacher Workshop. The assistant will also build pico balloon launch kits for student use. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Requirements
- Must be a student in the DCSTEM area.
- Great organizational skills and timeliness in responding to the professor.
- Ability to work for professors from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to use technology effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the professor with research projects.
- Participate in numerous launch demonstrations at UA Little Rock.
- Develop and deliver an online Science Teacher Workshop.
- Build pico balloon launch kits for student use.
