Key Responsibilities Externship Coordination & Administrative Support Support the coordination of veterinary student externship outreach, applications, and scheduling Assist in assigning externs to appropriate hospitals based on interests and learning objectives Conduct initial application screening to ensure candidates meet program requirements Collect and organize student learning objectives and required documentation Communication & Student Experience Serve as a key point of contact for externs, ensuring timely and professional communication Address student questions and concerns to ensure a positive and engaging experience Document all student interactions within the applicant tracking system, SmartRecruiters Partner closely with the Externship Coordinator to troubleshoot issues and improve processes Documentation & Program Tracking Maintain accurate records of externship participation, including hours and required paperwork Complete and manage school-specific documentation requirements Track engagement and outcomes to support program effectiveness and long-term recruiting goals Collaboration & Event Support Collaborate with internal teams including recruiting, operations, and hospital leadership Support coordination of travel and recruiting events as needed Contribute to continuous improvement of student programs and processes
