About The Position

BOS Security is seeking a full-time Lead Security Officer for the Decatur, GA area. This position involves making hourly patrols, ensuring the security team follows procedures, and maintaining strong customer service skills. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM.

Requirements

At least two years of security supervision experience.
Must be able to ensure security team is following all procedures/post orders, as well as updating staff on site specific tasks.
Have and maintain strong professional customer services skills.
Show up to work on time in uniform and ready to work.
Smartphone.
A valid driver's license.
Your own, working transportation-no drop offs/public transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and a background check.
This position is subject to random drug testing.
The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

Security, law enforcement, military, or other related experience and/or training preferred.
Stable work history.

Responsibilities

Trained and qualified to work assigned post.
Understands the specific and general post instructions for that assigned post.
Has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client.
Patrolling and monitoring external parking lot of Wesley Chapel Crossing mall.
Enforcing parking lot rules.
Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of client property.
Permits authorized persons to enter property.
Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips.
Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points to maintain orderly flow.
Other duties as assigned.
