About The Position

The DuPage County Health Department is excited to announce a new paid internship opportunity to work with our External Affairs team at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, Illinois. In this role will provide administrative, grant writing and support services to the DuPage Health Matters (DHM) program, promoting and communicating the goals of the DHM program. Requirements

• Some classroom training in grant writing or management.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing grant applications
• Establishing a system for managing grants
• Follows up on communications for fundraising opportunities, including individual requests, grants and donations.
• Answers general inquiries regarding DHM.
• Reviews and composes general correspondence.
• Maintains confidentiality of privileged information; demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures.
