About The Position

Provide security for casino property; maintain high visibility, handle problem situations, watch for safety hazards, and provide assistance during emergencies. Patrol parking lots and property, contacting persons or vehicles displaying suspicious behavior. Provide escorts as needed. Oversee customer presence on property including crowd control, directing traffic, checking I.D., managing lines for elevators, and checking for prohibited items. Communicate building maintenance/safety concerns to Facilities. Provide waters to guests, pick up trash, and ensure property cleanliness. Assist customers by answering questions, handling complaints, and calling for cabs. Report accidents and incidents in written and verbal form, collecting and compiling investigations as needed. Write detailed reports for incidents involving law violations and/or violations of company policy and procedure. Testify in court when necessary. Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements. Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter. Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to regulatory, department, and company policies. Perform other job-related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to display professionalism
  • Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs
  • Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts; and defend self and others in combative situations
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas including walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to multi-task as required
  • Must be able to earn and maintain an American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
  • Ability to earn and maintain TiPS certification
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in English may also be required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training.
  • Ability to earn and maintain RBS Certification within 60 days of employment
