As an Exterior Electrician, you will maintain and repair medium voltage (4160V to 34.5KV) electrical equipment for Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport or Washington Dulles International Airport. This is a journey (full performance) level job in the Exterior Electrician series. You will serve in the Electrical Division of the Engineering and Maintenance Department at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport or the Airport Maintenance Department at Washington Dulles International Airport. Your responsibilities will include installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing/replacing electrical equipment and electrical distribution systems, both Medium Voltage (4160V to 34.5 KV) and Low voltage switchgear, MDP’s and panels to 480V. You will also test and maintain battery banks for switchgear DC control power, and install, test, and maintain Airfield lighting systems, associated series circuits, constant current regulators and airfield lighting controls. Performs related functions.
