About The Position

Reporting to the Preparations Manager/Supervisor, the exterior Cleaner/Detailer plays a crucial role in maintaining the exterior cleanliness and appearance of CanaDream’s Guest and Customer sales units. Reporting directly to the Preparations Manager/Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring that all exterior surfaces of the units are cleaned and detailed according to the company's established guidelines and standards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in exterior cleaning and detailing, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Requirements

Experience in a similar role, preferably within the Rental, Tourism, or Hospitality industry.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive actions such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
May be required to hand wash dishes and pans as part of the cleaning duties.
Knowledgeable and ready to learn about cleaning products and their appropriate uses including their chemical compositions, intended uses, and safety precautions.
Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to follow oral directions accurately.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain control and composure under pressure.
Capable of working autonomously while clearly and professionally expressing ideas and concerns.
Basic familiarity with computers for accurate RV data entry (training provided).
Proficient communication skills, including the ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Positive attitude and high energy level.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively in a team and multitask.
Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.

Nice To Haves

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is considered an asset. This includes the ability to drive company vehicles as needed and ensuring safe and responsible driving practices.

Responsibilities

Undertakes comprehensive vehicle exterior cleaning as per the established schedule and within the allocated time frame, ensuring that the cleaning standards align with company policies and meet Customer/Guest service expectations.
Cleans all exterior surfaces meticulously, including windows, storage compartments, tire surfaces, and body panels, ensuring a spotless and polished appearance.
Reports any needed repairs or maintenance issues immediately to the Preparations Manager to ensure timely resolution and prevent further damage.
Operates various cleaning equipment, including power washers, vacuum cleaners, and specialized detailing tools, following all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintains and cares for all equipment used in performing duties, ensuring they are in good working condition, properly stored, and regularly serviced.
Projects a professional company image always, being mindful of the cost and efficient use of cleaning materials to minimize waste and control expenses.
Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Actively communicates with the Preparations Manager/Supervisor regarding any problems or issues with equipment or vehicles to ensure smooth operations and prompt resolution.
Consults the electronic scheduling system daily to stay updated on schedules, tasks, and any special instructions or changes to the cleaning routine.
Collaborates effectively with other team members to achieve daily targets and complete tasks efficiently, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
Performs additional duties as requested by the Preparations Manager/Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility, a willingness to assist where needed, and a commitment to the overall success of the team.
Maintain a safety-conscious attitude- Prioritizing safety in all tasks and responsibilities. This includes following all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and being vigilant about potential hazards. Must ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner to protect themselves, other crew members, and the guests.
