About The Position

The Exterior Care Specialist helps maintain patios, pool areas, outdoor furnishings, windows, architectural features, recreational spaces, and exterior amenities to the same exceptional standards as the home's interior through a structured, zone-based maintenance approach. To maintain a consistently high level of presentation, work is organized into well-defined maintenance zones. This approach ensures every area of the property receives focused attention while remaining clean, organized, safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, pride in craftsmanship, and a hospitality-focused mindset. The ideal candidate enjoys creating immaculate environments and takes ownership of the overall appearance of the property's exterior spaces.

Requirements

  • Experience in luxury housekeeping, hospitality, estate care, hotel operations, or exterior maintenance preferred
  • Strong understanding of premium cleaning techniques and exterior surface care
  • Experience using professional cleaning equipment and products
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize when areas require additional attention before being asked
  • Physically capable of working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual is a strong plus
  • Maintains a professional and well-kept appearance. Uniform (polo shirt) is clean; nails are kept, no cologne/perfume, and hair is pulled back as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Responsibilities are conducted in the homes of the RDV client. While an employer/employee relationship exists, the employee must be genuinely committed to being part of the household staff team whose goal is positively contributing to a respectful home environment.
  • Preservation of a quiet and peaceful household atmosphere is essential. Cleaning of the home must be conducted around family activities, with sensitivity to the privacy of family members at all times. This requires flexibility to determine which rooms to clean at what time to least intrude on the presence of family, i.e., if family members occupy bedrooms.
  • Must be a responsible, flexible, dedicated, and dependable person of the highest integrity; organized and reliable; positive in attitude; and one who demonstrates pride in service which he/she provides.
  • Must be attentive to details to ensure the private residences are presented to “Five Star” quality standards.
  • The family’s privacy is critical, and the highest level of confidentiality must always be exercised.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily zone-based cleaning schedules throughout the property
  • Maintain outdoor living spaces to a luxury hospitality standard
  • Ensure all assigned work is completed thoroughly, safely, and efficiently
  • Communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and supply needs to management
  • Maintain organization of exterior storage areas, supply closets, and cleaning equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all exterior surfaces, including but not limited to: Stone, porcelain tile, concrete, pavers, staircases, and walkways; Patios, terraces, lanais, pool decks, fire pit areas, outdoor kitchens, and gathering spaces; Walls, columns, railings, gates, fencing, planters, and architectural features; Exterior windows, glass doors, mirrors, and glass railings; Light fixtures, ceiling fans, televisions, outdoor appliances, and decorative elements
  • Perform routine cleaning to remove: Dirt and dust; Water spots; Fingerprints and smudges; Cobwebs and insect debris; Leaves and organic buildup; Algae, mildew, and surface staining; Pool residue and weather-related buildup
  • Identify developing issues before they become larger maintenance concerns and report them promptly.
  • Escalate damage, broken items, restoration, safety hazards, and speciality cleaning to the Property Manager as identified.
  • Clean and detail all exterior furniture, cushions, umbrellas, and accessories
  • Cover and uncover furniture as required for weather protection and family use
  • Maintain poolside presentation throughout the day
  • Organize children's pool toys, floats, towels, and recreational equipment
  • Keep playground, sport court, dock, and other activity areas clean and organized
  • Ensure outdoor entertaining spaces remain guest-ready throughout the day
  • Empty exterior trash and recycling receptacles as needed
  • Remove litter, fallen debris, and unwanted materials from outdoor living areas
  • Clean peacock scat and other animal-related debris from exterior surfaces
  • Clean exterior fireplaces after use and prepare firewood when requested
  • Maintain orderly appearance of all exterior storage areas
  • Assist with seasonal decorations and presentation changes
  • Prepare outdoor spaces before family gatherings and special events
  • Restore exterior areas immediately following events
  • Respond quickly to spills, weather events, or unexpected cleaning needs
  • Maintain exceptional presentation throughout periods of increased property use
