About The Position

The Exterior Aircraft Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining aircraft exteriors, including washing, waxing, and polishing surfaces with specialized products and equipment. The role requires following safety and environmental protocols, working efficiently to minimize aircraft ground time, and ensuring aircraft appearance meets airline and regulatory standards. The cleaner also inspects aircraft surfaces for damage or wear and reports findings to leadership.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be eligible to work in the United States.
Communicate effectively in English in reading, writing, and speaking.
Have one year of customer service experience.
Have one year of cleaning or maintenance experience.
Have knowledge of the aviation industry.
Be able to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including using iPads/tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in person and electronically.
Pass a background check and drug screen.
Be eligible to acquire required credentials and clearances, as applicable, including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal credentials.
Be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to perform the essential requirements satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Wash and clean aircraft exteriors, including fuselages, wings, and tails.
Use specialized cleaning products and equipment to remove dirt, grease, and stains.
Document cleaning activities and report irregularities to supervisors.
Inspect aircraft exteriors for damage or maintenance issues and report findings.
Follow safety protocols when working at heights and around aircraft.
Coordinate with ground crew and maintenance staff regarding aircraft positioning and safety.
Comply with environmental regulations for using and disposing of cleaning solvents and fluids.
Keep work areas and equipment storage clean and organized.
Ensure aircraft appearance meets airline and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and on time.
Participate in training on cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
