About The Position
Ohio State University Extension is seeking a motivated and community-focused individual to serve as a Program Assistant in Putnam County. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth, families, volunteers, and community members through educational programming, leadership development, and community engagement. The Program Assistant works collaboratively with the Putnam County 4-H and Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Educators, Extension staff, volunteers, advisory committees, schools, and community partners to support and enhance Extension programming throughout the county. This dynamic position combines youth development, event coordination, communications, program support, and office operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years of relevant experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification or vocational training may be required.
- Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Extension programming throughout the county.
- Collaborate with Putnam County 4-H and Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Educators, Extension staff, volunteers, advisory committees, schools, and community partners.
- Engage in youth development activities.
- Coordinate events.
- Handle communications.
- Provide program support.
- Manage office operations.
