The 4-H Program Assistant supports the 4-H Educator and the County Extension team in planning and delivering high-quality, positive youth development experiences, bridging the gap between university research and county youth through hands-on learning. This role focuses specifically on expanding and executing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) educational programming across various community spaces and Cloverbud planning and management. This position will 1)plan, coordinate, and teach hands-on 4-H STEM curricula (such as robotics, coding, aerospace, environmental science, and agricultural engineering) in spaces including in-school and after-school programs, libraries, parks, day camps, and community clubs; 2)lead Cloverbud programming including Cloverbud committee, Cloverbud day camp, and Cloverbud judging. This program assistant will assist with planning, setting up, and managing local 4-H educational events, member engagement, volunteer management, tracking event registrations, managing program equipment, and entering survey or data metrics to evaluate program impact. Attending county fair board meetings and junior fair committee meetings as needed.
