About The Position

H.J. Oldenkamp is a wholesale distributor of interior building products (kitchen & bath countertops and cabinets) serving the Midwest and the South-Central United States. As a Driver, you are responsible for many aspects of the warehouse and delivery processes.

Requirements

Valid CDL B Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement and a medical card.
Current understanding of all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements and guidelines.
At least 3 years of previous delivery driving experience in a similar capacity.
Ability to travel overnight at least 2 nights per week (primarily to Grand Rapids area).
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds on a regular basis to carry countertops/cabinets upstairs/downstairs.
Reliability, punctuality, and dedication.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Good clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Deliver countertops/cabinets to customer locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, requiring 2 overnights per week.
Read, understand, and adhere to the H.J. Oldenkamp Safe Driving Policy.
Ensure truck loads are safely and securely fastened using FMCSA guidelines.
Report all traffic/legal violations to supervisor.
Maintain a professional image to customers through clean uniforms and courteous service.
Assist in loading and unloading third-party truck shipments.
Stage/pull orders for truck deliveries.
Accurately check in merchandise shipments and place received stock into proper locations, assist in rotating stock.
Assist in handling stone materials.
Store and band skids and other warehouse materials.
