About The Position

The Athletics Coach will work under the direct supervision of the Athletics and Clubs Supervisor to provide assistance to the athletic programs at school sites and athletic fields. The coach will be responsible for coaching, planning, organizing, and delivering direction to student athletes to foster an appreciation for sportsmanship and teamwork. Additionally, the coach will maintain necessary rosters and records, complete required paperwork (including student accident/injury reports) in a timely manner, and ensure all necessary forms (permission, insurance, attendance, medical, etc.) are obtained and current. The Athletics Coach is expected to maintain the highest order of professionalism and ethical behavior, building positive relationships with athletes, staff, parents, and the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to interact and work cooperatively with students, staff, parents, guardians, and community members without the loss of efficiency or composure
  • Skilled in conflict management, remaining open to other ideas and contributing to building a positive team spirit
  • Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Pre-placement physical (Group ll)

  • Knowledge of instructional /tutorial procedures and practices

Responsibilities
