Expressive Arts Therapist, Full-Time
About The Position
Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is a 144-bed freestanding behavioral health facility formed through a partnership between Universal Health Services and Lehigh Valley Health Network. It provides behavioral health services to seniors, adults, and adolescents. The Expressive Arts Therapist plans and implements activity services for an assigned program. As a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the therapist helps define and implement treatment goals and provides continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling. The position is full-time and offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility that includes EPIC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Current registration, certification as CTRS, or licensure in accordance with state and/or national board standards in a specific allied health field is required; examples include art, recreational, music, psychodrama therapy, occupational therapy, and dance and movement.
Nice To Haves
- One year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques, and understanding of mental illness are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activity services for an assigned program.
- Define and implement treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
