Requirements

High school diploma or the equivalent and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent communication skills including the ability to listen to customers and determine how to assist them
Ability to work well in a team environment
Knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair processes for light mechanical services
Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to quality
Ability to use technical reference materials and technical manuals in written and online formats
Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience
Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment, and dealership experience.

Nice To Haves

Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ASE Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Ensure customers have a world-class service experience at every step along their ownership journey, especially in vehicle repairs.
Provide technical knowledge and expertise to help repair and maintain vehicles to the highest factory and dealership standards.
Clearly and effectively communicate technical information regarding customer vehicles to Service Advisors.
Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work.
Ensure that all estimates and work orders are accurate.
Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect shop operations, such as handling and disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA, and use of safety and health personal protective equipment.
