About The Position

Germain Subaru is hiring an entry-level Express Technician for its Express Service team. No prior automotive experience is required; training is provided for motivated candidates who are mechanically curious and eager to learn. The role performs routine maintenance, inspections, and replacement of common wear items while assisting senior technicians and collaborating with service advisors and teammates. The position offers paid on-the-job and ongoing Subaru training, with a path to advance into lube, maintenance, and line technician roles. The work is performed in a clean, climate-controlled service environment using modern equipment and technology.

Requirements

• No previous automotive experience is required; training is provided.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Own hand tools are helpful but not required to start.
• Technical school coursework or ASE certifications are a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks and top-offs.
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
• Replace common wear items, including wiper blades, bulbs, batteries, and filters.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs while developing technical skills.
• Work with service advisors and team members to keep vehicles moving and customers satisfied.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete training and stay current on Subaru vehicles and service procedures.
