About The Position

Metro Kia of Madison is looking for a motivated, dependable Express Service Technician to join our Service Department. Whether you're currently working at a quick lube shop, tire center, independent repair facility, a dealership, or you're just beginning your automotive career, we'll provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to succeed. You'll join a busy service department with a steady flow of customer-pay, maintenance, and warranty work—giving you the opportunity to stay productive, sharpen your skills, and continue growing every day. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new technology and service procedures
  • Comfortable using tablets and digital inspection software
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive, express service, or quick lube experience is preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Technical school education or ASE certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes
  • Rotate tires and check/set tire pressures
  • Complete Digital Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) on every vehicle
  • Record brief Video MPIs to explain vehicle condition and maintenance recommendations to customers
  • Check and top off all vehicle fluids
  • Inspect brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and other wear items
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, and other maintenance items
  • Road test vehicles when necessary
  • Communicate inspection findings and recommendations with Service Advisors
  • Follow Kia repair procedures and dealership quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Deliver efficient, accurate, high-quality work every day
