About The Position

Metro Kia of Madison is looking for a motivated, dependable Express Service Technician to join our Service Department. Whether you're currently working at a quick lube shop, tire center, independent repair facility, a dealership, or you're just beginning your automotive career, we'll provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to succeed. You'll join a busy service department with a steady flow of customer-pay, maintenance, and warranty work—giving you the opportunity to stay productive, sharpen your skills, and continue growing every day. Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to learn new technology and service procedures
Comfortable using tablets and digital inspection software
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive, express service, or quick lube experience is preferred but not required
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Eagerness to learn and grow
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Technical school education or ASE certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Perform oil and filter changes
Rotate tires and check/set tire pressures
Complete Digital Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) on every vehicle
Record brief Video MPIs to explain vehicle condition and maintenance recommendations to customers
Check and top off all vehicle fluids
Inspect brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and other wear items
Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, and other maintenance items
Road test vehicles when necessary
Communicate inspection findings and recommendations with Service Advisors
Follow Kia repair procedures and dealership quality standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Deliver efficient, accurate, high-quality work every day
