About The Position

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles. This role involves performing lube, oil, and filter changes, lubricating various joints, and checking and refilling essential vehicle fluids. The technician is also responsible for reporting necessary repairs, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to company standards for customer satisfaction and safety.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Technical training or commensurate technical experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to lift up to (50) pounds.
Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

Adheres to express lube guidelines.
Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints.
Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
Participates in required training.
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
Complies with Company policies and procedures.
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Other duties as assigned.
