Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of export operations and trade compliance for Staples Promotional Products within the Logistics team
  • Research country-specific regulations to ensure products meet export requirements prior to shipment
  • Classify promotional products using Schedule B tariff classifications
  • Evaluate export limitations including ECCN licensing requirements
  • Calculate freight, duty, and tax estimates across air, ocean, and ground transportation
  • Prepare export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin
  • Track shipments and resolve customs issues with U.S. CBP and foreign agencies
  • Prepare AES filings and maintain export records for compliance (5-year retention)
  • Conduct restricted/denied party screenings and compliance audits
  • Deliver internal training on export compliance processes
  • Collaborate with vendors, freight partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Audit and process carrier invoices
