Export Documentation Specialist
About The Position
This role is for an Export Documentation Specialist at MSC USA in New Orleans. MSC is looking for candidates interested in the logistics industry, offering a diverse environment and the opportunity to grow while connecting the world. The job summary states that the specialist provides daily deadlines for manifest completion to internal departments, ensures timely transmission of vessel manifests overseas to comply with foreign customs regulations, and acts as the primary contact for MSC USA with other agencies and MSC Geneva regarding manifest files. The role also includes assisting colleagues with DTX or manifest-related questions and troubleshooting errors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- English: advanced
- Strong attention to details

- Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.
Responsibilities
- Works as a liaison between MSC Geneva, overseas MSC Agencies, Export Documentation, and other nationwide departments.
- Provides accurate deadlines for manifests to be sent to Export documentation and TMS teams.
- Transmits the manifests overseas to comply with overseas’ customs deadliness.
- Troubleshoots errors in manifests and manifest corrections.
- Updates all sail dates for vessels to ensure correct shipped on board date is listed on the contract of carriage.
- Performs other duties as required.
