Export Controls Specialist
About The Position
Radiant Nuclear is seeking an Export Controls Specialist to support our international compliance, export controls, and intellectual property strategy as we bring advanced nuclear technologies to global markets. This multifaceted role blends legal, regulatory, and technical leadership ensuring that Radiant’s innovations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and strategic protection across international jurisdictions. As a member of Radiant’s regulatory department, you will be responsible for developing and executing policies that integrate export control, trade compliance, and energy regulations. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to enable compliance.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in export controls, trade compliance, sanctions, or regulatory compliance
- Experience with ITAR and EAR classifications and licensing
- Experience developing and implementing Technology Control Plans
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission.
- Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo headquarters.
- This position involves access to technology that is subject to U.S. export controls. Any job offer made will be contingent upon the applicant’s capacity to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
Nice To Haves
- Prior nuclear industry, national lab, or federal government experience
- Experience with Part 810 and Part 110 classifications and licensing
- Experience implementing OFAC compliance
- Experience providing guidance on federal contracting and procurement provisions (DFARS, Section 1260H, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Lead commodity classification of Radiant products
- Provide guidance to Supply Chain and Engineering teams on export control and sanctions considerations during procurement processes
- Review internal company documents and media intended for public release for export control and intellectual property considerations
- Manage export control licensing applications and reporting
