About The Position

Trumbull Kitchen, located in Hartford, CT, is seeking a polished, detail-oriented Expo/Food Runner with open availability for all shifts to join our dedicated team. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Food Runner in an upscale-casual or fine dining environment is preferred
  • Professional, polished demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring food is delivered with the highest standards of presentation
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry heavy trays
  • Team-oriented, with a passion for providing excellent guest service
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, ensuring dishes are presented at their freshest and most visually appealing
  • Act as the liaison between kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication of food orders, special requests, and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room by clearing tables promptly and resetting for the next guest
  • Monitor guests’ dining experience and provide excellent service by checking in regularly to ensure satisfaction
  • Collaborate with servers and other team members to provide seamless service during high-volume times
