About The Position

The Geospatial Enterprise Open Data Store (GEODS) contract provides integration, design, development, and sustainment for data services in support of the Federal Government. The Expert Test and Evaluation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing of products from development to operational deployment, working with Scrum Masters and developers through the requirements process and contributing to a robust, organized Backlog and streamlined Roadmap for the GEODS program. Work Schedule: Work hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. Essential Responsibilities: As a GEODS Expert Test and Evaluation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, verifying and validating systems against requirements, and ensuring safety criteria are met for defense and government contracts. Responsibilities include writing test plans, reviewing contract deliverables, chairing test working groups, executing test procedures, recording results, developing hazard analyses, performing risk assessments, and contributing to safety culture. Able to develop & use more complex concepts & processes Conduct root cause problem analysis Performs multiple tasks at specialist level Analyzes system requirements and concepts of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plan and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results Provides visibility into progress and impediments Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas Designs and develops test automation scripts Execute test plans and procedures, confirm results of automated tests Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical for a government contracting position

Requirements

  • Analyzes system requirements and concepts of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plan and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results
  • Provides visibility into progress and impediments
  • Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test Evaluation Master Plan, Event Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports
  • Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration
  • Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to systems functions, level, maturity, and performance areas
  • Execute test plans and procedures, confirm results of automated tests
  • Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, complex technical challenges and obstacles in a clear and direct manner
  • Experience utilizing SAFe or similar Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Cloud Services, preferably AWS Cloud, with the ability to discuss cloud service concepts
  • Familiarity with Cloud-based cross-domain solutions (CDS), preferably AWS Diode Services
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, preferably AWS SageMaker
  • Active TS/SCI CI Poly Security Clearance Required
  • Master’s degree with 4 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience, associate's degree with 12 years’ experience, or a minimum of 15 years’ experience, in relevant field.
  • Master’s degree with 4 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ experience, associate's degree with 20 years’ experience, or a minimum of 25 years’ experience, in relevant field.

  • Applicable software/hardware training & certification (e.g. specialties like Amazon Web Services (AWS) developer/engineer
