About The Position

Bcore is hiring an Expert Software Developer for its Insight Solutions division, which delivers intelligence analysis, advanced data science, and strategic decision support. The team supports customer missions by combining human insight, rapid engineering, and measured outcomes to develop mission-ready solutions. This role is hybrid, based in Vienna, VA and Chantilly, VA, with up to three remote days per week. The Expert Software Developer leads the translation of complex business problems into technical architectures and software solutions. The role includes evaluating emerging technologies, setting technical roadmaps, championing enterprise-level tools, enforcing coding and security standards, and directing multidisciplinary teams through software design, development, testing, integration, and sustainment. The developer also provides technical leadership in stakeholder meetings and mentors developers at multiple levels.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope polygraph required to start.
12+ years of experience with full-stack software development using multiple programming languages, such as Python, Groovy, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Java, and Node.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; additional experience may be substituted for education.
Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
Acute understanding of relational database design principles, including normalization and denormalization.
Deep understanding of database administration concepts, including users, schemas, and constraints.
Experience with multimedia streaming technologies and video processing workflows, including encoding, transcoding, and clipping.
Experience with real-time monitoring and alerting systems, such as CloudWatch or Splunk, for production system health.
Familiarity with microservices design and development patterns.
Experience with API design and implementation.
Experience working with a DevOps team.
Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment.

Nice To Haves

Direct experience working with CrafterCMS.
Experience with audio/video analytics, including audio segmentation and speaker diarization technologies.
Experience with video metadata extraction and automated content summarization.
Experience integrating transcription and translation services.
Experience developing and optimizing AI-enabled transcription and translation services.
