About The Position

Founded in Quebec City and continuing its growth with a team based in Montreal, Beenox has over 25 years of expertise in the game development. As an Activision studio we are leaders in interactive entertainment and involved in the creation of renowned titles. We are proud to be a major contributor to the popular Call of Duty franchise, crafting content for the Warzone seasons and leading the development of the PC version of Call of Duty. Throughout our history, we have also contributed to the success of Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Skylanders, Spider-Man and Guitar Hero. Our purpose is to empower people to build connections and experience the thrill of surpassing their best game together, time after time. We’re driven by our mission to elevate iconic gaming experiences to new heights for all players. You will contribute to the creation of unique and realistic environments during the modeling, texturing and rigging stages, using your knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter & Designer and all other software used by the in-house production department. Your skills will largely influence the levels to which you will be assigned. Decisions are made as a team and the workload is divided according to each member’s strengths. This role is based in our Quebec city office and follows an onsite work schedule of four days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • At least 13 years of experience in a video game studio or its equivalent – and you thrive in this type of environment
  • An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates your mastery of the realist style
  • Knowledgeable about the latest technical developments in which you have expertise and make a point to try them out
  • Autonomous, resourceful, and view each new project as an opportunity to learn new things
  • Familiar with Maya and/or 3DSMax and particularly comfortable using zBrush, Substance Painter & Designer, and Photoshop
  • Motivated by learning new in-house tools and not discouraged by regular change
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French

  • Accustomed to working with a game engine
