About The Position

Assembly of experimental and prototype engines, components and auxiliaries. Set-up and operation of experimental and prototype engines, components and accessories for performance and endurance tests. Install, maintain and repair experimental equipment and test facilities. Fabricate special equipment, such as engine mounts, baffles, tubing, brackets, etc. Measurement of engine parts, components and accessories. Weld ferrous or light alloys. Support of accident investigations during engine teardown.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Sheet Metal Knowledge
  • Basic Pipefitting Knowledge
  • Basic Millwright Knowledge
  • Forklift License Required
  • Possess the ability to build a complete engine from Power Section to Mag and demonstrate the ability to test engines; Or an FAA Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Basic Troubleshooting Skills
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools
  • Ability to be trained to weld

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.

  • Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
  • Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
  • Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.
